Hello Chevy owners. Today on your 2012 Chevy Silverado we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Roadmaster's base plate. Now, when you fly through your vehicle, there are five main components that you're gonna need when doing so. You'll need your base plate, which is the connection point for your tow bar and your vehicle, you'll need your tow bar, which is the component that connects your vehicle to your motorhome. Your safety cables, which is a supplemental connection in addition to your tow bar, you'll need your diode wiring which takes all the lighting signals from your motorhome and transfers to the lights at the back of your vehicle so people know your intentions when going down the road, and your supplemental breaking system, which will apply the brakes in your vehicle when you hit them in your motorhome to help you come to a safe stop. And this is what our base plate looks like when it's installed. more

Today in our 2010 Chevy Silverado, we'll be installing the Blue Ox base plate kit with removable arms, part number BX1681. To begin our install, we'll first needto remove the manufacturer's towhooks. To remove the tow hooks, there are two fasteners on each side. We'll first go ahead and remove these bolts and nuts and set them aside, as they will not be re-installed. Then once the hardware is out of the way, we can pull the tow hook out of the frame. We'll go ahead and set itaside, asthe tow hooks will not be re-installed and the base plates will sit in this position. more

Today in this 2013 Chevrolet Silverado we're going to install part number 3154-3 from Road Master. First off we're going to have to get underneath the hood. We're going to remove some plastic fasteners attaching the radiator cover to the grill, and of course, sport. We'll go ahead and pull the plastic rivets. We'll just pull up the center with a screw driver. Then pull out the rest of the rivets. more

Today on our 2008 Chevy Silverado we'll be installing the Blue Ox Base Plate Kit with Removable Arms part number BX1674. To begin our install, we'll first need to remove the manufacturers tow hook. There'll be one on each side and we'll repeat the same process for both sides. To remove the manufacturers tow hook, we'll first go ahead and remove the bolts which would be the rear fastener. Now with the bolts out of the way, we can then go ahead and remove the bolt and nut that secures the forward fastener. Once weve removed the nut, pull the bolt out, we'll then go ahead and pull out the tow hook. more
